Adults

Adults

The foundation of our ministry to adults is found in our small groups. Small groups are an opportunity for adults to connect with other adults at a similar stage in life and study the Bible. Each Sunday our leaders seek to teach the Scriptures then help you apply the text to your life in a meaningful way. These groups are a great way to meet other people in the church and grow in your faith. We have many different Sunday School classes available for adults in all stages of life from young singles to senior married couples. Find one here and we will see you Sunday at 8:45. If you want we can also help you find a small group by emailing Sam Galloway at sgalloway@fbccookeville.org, or by calling the church office.

Men and Women’s Ministries

Men’s, women’s and recovery studies began April 3. These studies meet Sundays at 5:30p. Lisa Hammons and Bedelia Russell are facilitating a women’s study on The Armor of God. Farrell Cox & Mike Stringer are leading a men’s study Horizontal Jesus. Randy Griggs is teaching Celebrate Recovery. We also have different events for marriage enrichment, personal growth, and fellowship. For more information on being involved in these studies contact Sam Galloway at sgalloway@fbccookeville.org.

55+ Ministry

In addition to Bible study many fellowship and service opportunities are available. Monthly luncheons are held the second Sunday; each Friday at 10:00 am. Fun Friday meets for food, prayer, devotional thought, and games. The Happy Travelers take trips monthly including day trips, overnight trips, and week long trips. You can see a list of our trips here. Visitation to homebound and healthcare facilities is ongoing. For more information you can download our May Senior Happynings Newsletter.
