The purpose of Cookeville Kids is to see children desire God, be discipled, and grow to dedicate themselves to service in God’s kingdom. We do this by partnering with and equipping families to share Jesus with their children at home (Deut. 6:6-9). We love seeing children coming to know Jesus and the love that God has for them.
Discipleship happens on Sunday mornings during the 8:45 hour as we have Sunday Morning Groups for Kindergarten-6th grade. These groups are taught by caring and loving adults who help children learn and explore the Bible. You will find the kindergarten class on the second floor and 1st-6th grade rooms on the third floor.
Over their time in children’s ministry, kids will learn about God, Salvation, Jesus, Holy Spirit, Bible, Creation, Family, People, Community and World, and Church throughout the books of the Bible.
Cookeville Kids Worship, a service designed specifically for 1st-6th graders, meets one Sunday a month at 10 am on the third floor.
Through M&M Sundays we seek to build a desire for God and His word in our children as they participate in Music and Memory from 5:30-7:00 pm. Children will memorize scripture to hide in their heart and then sing the truths of God. These groups are broken down by age with our kindergarten kids on the second floor and our 1st-3rd and 4th-6th graders on the third floor.
On Wednesdays we open the gym for children to come skate, play basketball or just hang out from 3:30-5:00 pm. Dinner is available from 5-6 in the Fellowship Hall for $5. Reservations are needed by Tuesday.
Mission Kids gives children the opportunity to study and memorize scripture while also applying it by serving and learning how to minister to others in our community and around the world in RAs, GAs and Mission Friends. Mission Kids is from 6:00-7:30 pm with kindergartners participating in Mission Friends in Room 249 while 1st-6th grade girls go to GAs and boys go to RAs on the 3rd floor.
