Our recreation ministry exists to provide activities in which people of all ages can desire Jesus Christ, be discipled and have the opportunity to devote themselves to service.
Within our Family Life Center, we have an exercise room with weights, treadmills, stationary bike and other equipment that is open throughout the week for you to workout. The gym is available for walking and other simple exercise activities throughout the week as well. On Wednesday afternoons after school children and youth can come play basketball, kickball or other games, roller skate and much more.
The co-ed softball season is underway. We’ll play 14 games from April-mid June. Come out and support your church team! If you are interested in playing, you can still join the team. Contact Colleen Cox at 526-7108 or email@example.com for more details. The cost is $10 per player.
Upward Sports develops athletes mentally, athletically, socially and spiritually through the 360 Progression.
Our Upward Basketball and Cheerleading league is for those in kindergarten-8th grade. All leagues besides kindergarten are broken down into boys and girls. Teams will have practice once a week for one hour and have one game a week.
We have Upward Basketball Camp during fall break for children in kindergarten-6th grade. Adult and youth coaches provide instruction on basic skills in drill stations while also implementing skills through fun games. Children also have the opportunity to compete against other kids in their age group each day. We also have a devotion each day.
More information about Upward Sports can be found on our Upward Sports page.
Super Soccer Sunday
Our Cookeville Students meet at 4 p.m. on most Sunday afternoons and play pickup soccer in the gym. Anyone in 7th-12th grade as well as college students are welcome to join them for this fun time of fellowship.
Men’s and Women’s Basketball
We offer men’s pickup basketball for all ages on Thursday nights at 6 in the Family Life Center. We also have a group of women who meet on Tuesday mornings at 7:30 to play basketball.
