Upward Basketball & Cheerleading
Upward Basketball & Cheerleading develops your athlete mentally, athletically, spiritually and socially. Upward Basketball uses a four-level age appropriate format that grows with each young athlete. These levels progress from introducing the game and basic skills to learning rules of the game and team concepts and all the way to middle school rules. Our cheerleaders learn basic skills, cheers and pom routines.
Registration for the 2016-2017 season will begin soon. After registration your player will go through an evaluation where his/her sports skills are evaluated to determine talent for healthy competition. Cheerleaders will go through a short orientation where they size for their uniform and get details about the upcoming season.
Upward Basketball & Cheerleading practices once a week for one hour. Our league is made up of volunteer coaches who will teach your athletes the sport as well as lead a devotion about a specific virtue at every practice. We’ll have three virtues that we talk about during the season. Games are played on Friday night or Saturday. Cheerleaders will cheer for basketball teams in their respective age division.
