Upward Basketball & Cheerleading
Upward Basketball & Cheerleading develops your athlete mentally, athletically, spiritually and socially. Upward Basketball provides an experience that grows with young athletes over time by using a four-level age appropriate format. Each level is tailored to meet athletes where they are in their athletic journey, allowing them to reach their full potential, on and off the court. Our cheerleaders learn basic skills, cheers and pom routines.
This year, athletes will learn how to Rise Up and grow mentally, athletically, spiritually, and socially through the 360 Progression. They will be encouraged to have fun, develop skills, play hard, and play in such a a way that others take notice.
Upward Basketball & Cheerleading practices once a week for one hour. Our league is made up of volunteer coaches who will teach your athletes the sport as well as lead a devotion about a specific virtue at every practice. We’ll have three virtues that we talk about during the season. Games are played on Friday night or Saturday. Cheerleaders will cheer for basketball teams in their respective age division.
Interested in Serving
Upward Basketball & Cheerleading involves hundreds of volunteers in various different areas. If you’re a sports person, use your gifts and talents to coach a team, referee some games or keep score for games. If sports aren’t your thing, you can serve through the concession stand, giving out snacks, ironing on stars or being a mascot. On the ministry side of things, we need prayer partners for each of our teams and people to share testimonies, devotions, games, songs or skits during halftime. If you are interested in serving, please contact Colleen Cox at email@example.com.
