Meet Our Staff
Associate Pastor of Administration
Mike has been serving at FBC for 13 years since leaving the University of Alabama-Birmingham where he worked in the University Administration overseeing the finances of the university. At FBC he does everything, literally. Mike evens calls himself the “Pastor of Miscellaneous” doing whatever is needed to serve the church. He is married to Martha and they have 3 children. They also have 7 grandchildren that they love dearly. He is also an avid golfer and Auburn Tigers fan.
Minister of Music
Todd has been at FBC for several years, but began serving our pastoral staff in 2012 after answer a call to the ministry. Before serving on staff, Todd was the Choral Director at White County High School. He is a graduate of Tennessee Tech and is currently pursuing his Master’s at Belmont University. He loves to hike and camp in the beautiful state parks in Tennessee as well as write/compose his own music.
Associate Pastor of Family Life
After serving 25 years as the Student Minister at FBC, Bill felt a call to move to serve in another way in the church. The opportunity to serve in this role came up in 2012 as Bill moved to a focus on ministry to children and senior adults. Bill is married to Lisa and they have one son, Matt. Bill is originally from North Carolina having graduated from Appalachian State University and then getting his M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has a big heart for families and helping them as they disciple their children.
Minister of Youth & College
Alex and his wife, Kelli, moved to Cookeville in June 2013 to lead our Youth and College ministries. They have been married since June 2009 and have two children, Bekah (2) and Eli (1). Alex has a heart for seeing students coming to know Jesus and grow as a follower of Jesus. He is a Florida boy who loves football, especially Florida State, and the beach. He graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Communications and finished his Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in May 2014. Assistant Pastor of Education & Outreach
Steve is originally from Cookeville and has come back home to serve at FBC. Steve is married to Pam and they have one son, Dustin. Nothing gets Steve more excited than seeing people come to know Jesus. He is a great evangelist and can start a conversation with anyone, and eventually lead that conversation to the Gospel. Serving as our Pastor of Education, he works with our small group leaders to help them teach the Bible and apply it to the lives of people in the church. He has a M.Div. and D.Miss. from Covington Theological Seminary. One of his biggest joys is to travel and see the world, and he wants you to come with him.
